SWAYTRONIC - VSR relay 12V 150A
Adjustable disconnect relay to disconnect the starter battery from the body battery.
Function:
On the one hand, the isolating relay ensures battery charging while driving and also protects the starter battery from discharging when the engine is not running. A cut-off relay only connects the batteries when the engine is running and the alternator is charging and a corresponding voltage is detected.
The VSR is connected between the positive terminals of the main and auxiliary batteries. When the engine is started and one of the two batteries reaches 13.3 V, the
VSR is automatically switched on and allows simultaneous charging of two batteries (starting and auxiliary).
If the voltage drops below 12.8 V (e.g. when the engine is switched off), the VSR switches off and disconnects the batteries from each other. This prevents the starter battery from being discharged.
This device protects sensitive electronic equipment powered by the auxiliary battery from harmful voltage spikes when the engine is started
Emergency start assist function:
The unit also has an emergency start assist function .
If the starter battery has a low voltage or is damaged, the engine cannot be started .
The Swaytronic VSR relay offers a function that allows the two batteries to be connected even when the engine is switched off.
For this purpose, the VSR can be activated manually by pressing a button when the engine is switched off and connects both batteries for 60 seconds.
